Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator – Level 2 or 3 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Launch & Missile Systems Division. The successful candidate will be report to Contracts Administration Leadership and will have responsibility for the administration and oversight of contractual obligations and compliance.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering, extending, negotiating and terminating standard and nonstandard contracts. They will conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiations and contract administration in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
As a Contract Administrator, the selected candidate will be part of the program office staff and will report to the Senior Program Manager on all program related activities and to the Propulsion Systems Contracts Manager for all contract related activities. They will monitor baseline contract activities, and administer anticipated future Task Orders.
This position will be based out of our office in Magna, UT or Promontory, UT, and will offer a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days in office per week.
Primary Job Duties:
- Contract guidance on Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) requirements and compliance
- Delivery of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Data Accession List (DAL) items
- Partners with Program Contracting Officer
- Supports Supply Chain Manager in subcontract execution compliance
- Contract interpretation and execution
- Program Change Requests (PCR) review and approval
- Proposal cost volume coordination and contractual adherence
- General contract compliance oversight
- Program market research and proposals
- Represent the program office to the customer in matters of a contractual nature
Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of contract management experience, or Master’s Degree and 1+ years of contract management experience
- An additional 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of contract management experience, or Master’s Degree and 4+ years of contract management experience
- An additional 4 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
- A demonstrated history of increasing responsibility and team leadership
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Sound knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
- Experience with multiple contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee)
- U.S. Citizen
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Prior experience within aerospace or defense
- Experience with incentive fee and award fee contract types (Fixed Price Incentive Fee, Cost Plus Award Fee and Cost Plus Incentive Fee)
- Contract Management Certification (Certified Professional Contract Manager, Certified Commercial Contract Manager, Certified Federal Contract Manager, Certified Contract Management Associate)
