Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.
Your Role:
In your new role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation for the Triton Program. You will oversee operations cash management and financial reporting and analysis, ensuring that financial data is accurate through reconciliations and exception reviews. Additionally, you will prepare various financial reports, including variance reports, rolling forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and more. Your expertise will be critical in conducting variance analysis of business performance against budgets and forecasts, and you'll play a key role in suggesting improvement actions.
Collaboration is a vital aspect of this position. You will work closely with the Triton Program Leadership team to analyse financial performance drivers and identify trends. Your deep understanding of operational tools, processes, and industry regulations will ensure accurate cost forecasting and recording. You'll also liaise with support groups and cross-functional teams, such as NGA Financial Controller, Supply Chain, and Contracts.
Process improvement and system upgrades are integral to this role, as you'll be responsible for driving these enhancements. Your ability to optimize productivity through automation and information coordination will be highly valued. In addition to your individual responsibilities, you will provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to your direct reports and ensure that tasks are appropriately delegated to achieve program objectives.
About You:
To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred. Proven experience in management accounting or project accounting, financial management and reporting, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of aerospace industry operations and regulations are all essential. Proficiency in financial software and tools, independent, highly motivated and dynamic team member as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively, are key attributes.
