Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems is seeking a Manager Program Control 3 for the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division under the Business Management group for the Sentinel Program. This position is located in Roy, Utah.
This position is responsible for Business Management activity associated with execution of the contract including, evaluation and analysis of financial impact based on success of major program milestones, incentive/award fee impact, and funding. A successful candidate will be able to communicate the program's financial/technical progress to executive level division/sector leadership, provide leadership to a major subcontractor and all major projects within the Operating Unit.

The incumbent selected will have a capacity to foster an environment of continuous learning and process improvement and be able to proactively deal with difficult situations and communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders. The candidate selected for this role must have strong organizational, problem-solving and closure skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills with different stakeholders and levels of professionals and management.
The selected applicant is a key leader in developing a strong financial strategy based on the program's technical progress, which include, but are not limited to the following key duties:
Set up systems to monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring fully compliant EVMS.
Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and control guidelines.
Prepare plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Ensure contractual and programmatic change management outcomes are properly incorporated to maintain realistic contract cost/schedule baselines and forecasts.
Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate to senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses.
Support proposal preparation, fact-finding, and contract negotiations as needed to ensure cost management issues are represented.
Participation on Supplier Management Teams and translation of Supplier/IWO business data into the NG Prime level business systems.
Drive empowerment and decision making for Business Management equities at the appropriate levels through ensuring segment Business Management team has the tools, training, and resources necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 6+ years of industry related experience – OR – a Master’s degree with 4+ years of industry related experience.
2+ years leading and/or managing complex business management teams in a fully compliant or deliberately tailored EVMS environment.
Experience in schedule-sensitive and change-intensive environments.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel
Active DoD Secret level security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, master’s degree in business related field or STEM field.
Experience in defense and/or aerospace
Active DoD Top Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 5 years). US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Active SCI (SSBI) or DoD Top Secret security clearance (with a full investigation within the past 5 years)
Experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek, CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, MS Project or Schedule Risk Assessment software tools
Experience with complex development programs that contain significant subcontractor or IWO content.
Leadership experience with transition from development to production program phases.
