Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Budget Analyst – Principal or Senior Principal - Level 3 or 4 to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. This position will be based in Azusa, CA, support our Space Sensors program, and will offer the potential for a hybrid work scheduled, 3 days per week in office, along with a 9/80 work schedule.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for all direct and indirect rate development for the Azusa rate segment.
- Prepare Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP), including updates throughout the year, and ensure proposals are adequate and compliant.
- Ensure all Corporate and Sector flow down updates to the FPRP are quantified for internal and external customers in a timely fashion.
- Complete the monthly budget vs actuals analysis, coordinate all variance explanations, and prepare consolidated summary for management review.
- Respond to all internal and external audit requests.
- Support budget requests/analysis as needed for occupancy costs, depreciation, and additional ad-hoc requests.
- Become familiar with the Disclosure Statement; review cost center changes and any other rate changes to ensure compliance with disclosure.
- Participate in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience – OR - Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience with indirect budgeting, accounting, and cost accounting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience – OR - Master's degree with 8+ years of related experience.
- Experience with indirect budgeting, accounting, and cost accounting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Government, Defense, or Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience with SAP.
- Current, active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
