Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Cost Control Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This individual will serve as a process/tool Homeroom Subject Matter Expert for the Program Control team at the sector level. This position will be located in Redondo Beach CA (will consider full-time telework schedule for this role) and will report to the Sector Manager of Program Control.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supporting digital transformation program control activities around processes, tools, and data integration.
- Cora development of system level requirements that align with our PDDs
- Skills and knowledge of Business Management processes:
- SAP & Cost Point
- Project change management (EV and Non-EV)
- EVMS management (Cost and Schedule)
- Quarterly EAC financial reporting
- NCTA & CAPEX management
- LRSP processes and Salesforce processes and tie outs
- Clear understanding of data analytic tools and construction of relational data for reporting purposes
- Strong Problem Solving skills
- Determined attitude for a project execution type of project
- Applying overall business management experience, program control, financial forecasting, program financial analyses, metric tracking, and risk management into optimum and automated processes.
- Coordinating with program management and business management teams to develop process solutions that benefit the organization in an integrated fashion.
- Aiding in the development of communications, training plans, and procedure documentation.
- Disseminating guidance and training to the program control team, as necessary.
- Assisting the team in development of high-quality Estimates-at-Completion (EAC) and program metrics.
- Supporting EVMS Surveillance Reviews to ensure compliance to the 32 guidelines.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related experience – OR – a Master's degree with 7+ years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Strong knowledge of contractual content, network structures, billing requirements and the accounting system.
- Demonstrates strong financial knowledge of quantitative/schedule risk analysis and experience supporting internal and external program reporting requirements.
- Proficient in SAP or Costpoint, Jira - Agile.
- Ability to understand and maintain a resource loaded network.
- Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
- Understand process and implementation of schedule risk assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with technical subject matter experts and business operations personnel.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
- Experience with Risk & Opportunity Management and its application to EAC and EVMS.
- Experience leading and training program control.
- Experience working with PowerBI/Tableau or other Data Visualization tools.
