Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) is a strategic partner specializing in commercial and classified partnerships with the design, delivery, operation and sustainment of satellites and human spacecraft. We support science and space exploration through our various partnerships, including NASA’s Artemis program with the goal to return humans to the Moon in 2024 and the TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) program that has discovered more than twenty confirmed plants. Recognized as an industry leader, we also develop highly specialized space and satellite components.
TSSD has an opening for a Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (Level 2 or Level 3) for their Dulles, VA location.
The Program Planning Scheduling Analyst 2 or 3 will report to the Business Management Scheduling Manager and will perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts. In this role, the incumbent will make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership and will interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, as well as the Program/Project Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives and ensure program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated. Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
- DCMA 14-point
- IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Critical Path Analysis
- Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
- Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
- Provides weekly status and reporting
- Conducts Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3 as outlined in the basic qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications (level 2):
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in Program Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management or Engineering; or a master’s degree with 1 year of stated experience
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Project Server 2016/2019
- The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) U.S. Government Clearance
Basic Qualifications (level 3):
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Program Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program Management or Engineering; or a master’s degree with 3 years of stated experience
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with Microsoft Project Server 2016/2019
- The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) U.S. Government Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, Supply Chain, and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
- Knowledge with Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership
- Experience or knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

- This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off work.
