SSSD has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located Redondo Beach, California. This role is contingent on award of contract.
The Principal or Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst will report to the Manager of Project Controls under the AIM-Comms Business Unit and will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman Corporation Space Systems programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration
- Perform analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system to maintain cost and schedule baselines
- Financial CDRL deliverables
- Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
- Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
- Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
- Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
- Operates in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail
CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR EITHER A PRINCIPAL (LEVEL 3) OR SENIOR PRINCIPAL (LEVEL 4) AS OUTLINED BELOW.
Basic Qualifications – Principle (Level 3):
- An active TS and/or SCI Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or Cost Control OR Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience
- At least 2 years of working experience with EVMS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Basic Qualifications - Senior Principal (Level 4):
- An active TS and/or SCI Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years’ experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or Cost Control OR Master’s Degree with 7 years of experience
- At least 4 years of working experience with EVMS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- COGNOS (SPFP - Planning Analytics)
Preferred Qualifications - Principal (Level 3) and Senior Principal (Level 4):
- Proficiency of the following systems or software: COBRA or similar project management software, COGNOS (SPFP - Planning Analytics), SAP Management Project Systems Module and Business Warehouse (BW)
- Experience working for a restricted customer and/or multiple levels of security
