Northrop Grumman is looking for a Professional (Level 3/4) to support the Navigation, Targeting, & Survivability Division in the Pricing & Estimating Department.  The position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL and will offer a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals by

    • Understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests

    • Collaborating and coordinating with proposal technical teams in developing the material estimating strategy by interfacing with Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Program Management, Program Office, and Pricing Organizations

    • Selecting appropriate pricing methods (PO History, vendor quote, etc) for each item included in the proposal

    • Ensuring compliance with Customer and  FAR Regulatory Requirements

    • Ensure schedule adherence

  • Support proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationship (CERs) Estimates including accompanying supporting data

  • Compile costs, schedules, technical elements and hardware/sub-contractor costs in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications

  • Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from internal customers

  • Research and analyze historical data

  • Interact with other functional areas to troubleshoot issues in support of proposal requirements and deadlines

  • Develop cost models to support proposal efforts and overall pricing strategy

  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process

  • Present and brief material pricing, cost issues and risks to senior and executive leadership

  • Prepare material price analysis to support business unit and GSC leaders in decision making as it pertains to specific pricing proposals

  • Support fact finding, audits, customer negotiations, and certifications while ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal process

  • Support Pricing and Estimating team initiative

Basic Qualifications (A3):

  • (A03) 6+ Years of combined experience Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business or 4+ years with a Masters Degree

  • (A04) 10+ Years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business or 8+ years with a Masters Degree

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline driven environment

  • Proactive, eager to learn and challenge him/herself

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

  • A team player that possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex issues

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Aerospace/defense industry experience

  • Working understanding of TINA and FAR requirements

  • Working understanding of Global Supply Chain processes

  • Working knowledge of material pricing systems

  • Knowledge of the business acquisition process

  • Experience using SAP

  • Risk Analysis and S-curve technique experience

Salary Range: $82,400 - $123,600
Salary Range 2: $102,200 - $153,200
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
