Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Tactical Space Division is seeking a Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join the Space Security organization. This role requires the ability to work on-site weekly in Dulles, VA. No relocation assistance provided.
The primary responsibility for this position will be to report and analyze aspects of the Integrated Missions Operating Unit’s direct programs. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the forecast model in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines
- Interface with program and functional management to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements
- Budget owners with EVMS like activities including; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
- Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
- Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
- Conducts monthly reviews with budget owners, providing analysis and coordinating inputs into forecasting tools and other supporting models
- Supports proposals, ad hoc requests, and special projects as needed

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ Years with bachelors; 1+ Years with master’s in business or finance and relevant experience conducting financial analysis in a business management function
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Financial reporting and/or accounting experience
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- U.S Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing complex financial models
- Familiarity with CostPoint, Cognos tools,
- Knowledge of GAAP, CAS, FAR, DFARS principles and regulations
- Ability to deliver analysis and presentations to management/executive leadership
- Active security clearance
