Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Business Management Manager to join our team in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities Include:
The Business Management Manager will partner with the VP of Corporate Operations to manage a complex portfolio of programs to achieve the organization’s financial and strategic objectives. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and lead business management functions including financial forecasting, Earned Value Management, monthly reporting, etc.
- Provide direct management and leadership for a team of Program Business Managers
- Provide business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to program status
- Develop business strategy and forecasting through internal or external deliverables such as the Annual Operating Plan and monthly financial forecast
- Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities
- Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters
- Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective
- Develop professional and management talent within the organization
- Develop and coordinate strategic project ROIs and track financials and savings, both corporate and sector, associated with those implementations
The successful candidate must have a proven track record in leading a diverse team as well as the ability to promote the professional development of the business management workforce, fostering a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around ethics and integrity, employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
The candidate will maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics. The position requires some travel to customer and other off-site locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related job experience - OR - a Master's degree with 8 years of related job experience.
- Will consider 14 years of related job experience in lieu of degree.
- 2 years of management experience showing demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
- Experience developing business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as a Long Range Strategic Plan or Annual Operating Plan
- Experience with program proposals, cost and schedule control, program budgeting and forecasting
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel and business planning systems
- US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business related discipline
- Experience in the development of detailed business case analysis and return on investment analysis
- Prior experience in Aerospace and Defense
