Northrop Grumman is seeking a talented iReturn Software Development Analyst to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. We also may be able to support a full time remote arrangement.

The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a career break of at least two years. This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce.

iReturn℠ provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. This cohort program will approximately run from August - November and prepare candidates for an effective re-entry into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company.

Job responsibilities of the Software Development Analyst will include, but not be limited to, the following:

The qualified applicant will perform software maintenance and license management tasks as a member of the Engineering Design Tools Pool Team, providing system support for engineering design capabilities and more. The incumbent will interface directly with Space System business partners along with other stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Directly supporting resolution of all software related problems within the MES production environment.
  • Gathering requirements for engineering and manufacturing software support needs from business partners
  • Supporting tactical planning of software tool usage through process development, automation and technology 
  • Participating in routine maintenance of applications and infrastructure to include the following
  • Apply and test patches
  • Maintain app account/passwords
  • Address server and application vulnerabilities
  • Support power outages and facilities moves as well as other off-shift maintenance activities
  • Maintenance of software licenses on serversRunning license usage reports in Altair SAO
  • Maintenance of Active Directory (AD) groups used for Software Store package request
  • Keeping current documentation of license infrastructure configurations up-to-date
  • Working Service Desk tickets to assist users with software package installations, licensing requests, and problems using engineering software packages
  • Supporting various enterprise initiatives and technology and data center uplifts.
  • Assist or Support in the migration and centralization of software packages and software licenses” or something like that.
  • SAO reports - Feature utilization
  • SAO reports - Expirations
  • Contact vendors for issue resolutions
  • Usually install issues
  • Rehosting of licenses

Basic Qualifications:

  • A career break of at least two years
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline and at least 5 years of applicable experience; 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree.(Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
  • US Citizenship is required for this position


Salary Range: $71,500 USD - $119,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
