Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Associate Engineer Systems/ Engineer Systems to join the Launch Vehicles business unit to support the Strike Weapons Program within the Systems Engineering Integration & Test Team in our Chandler, AZ office.

The Associate Engineer Systems /Engineer Systems will:

  • Implement and manage system requirements in the Requirements Management databases.

  • Revises and manages both original and revised specification/interface definition document and expedites documents through signature approval process.

  • Provides data to risk management (identifies potential risks) and trade study processes.

  • Supports system design, data analyses, interface verification, testing, failure/anomaly resolution and mission operations.

  • Supports the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more components of a system or subsystem analytical model or actual system implementation.

  • Attends and prepares materials for presentation during System Requirement Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review.

  • Supports trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, Operations Analysis work such as mission analysis and timelines and concept of operations development.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment supporting an Integrated Product Team.

This position may be offered at the Associate Engineer Systems Level 1 or maybe offered at the Engineer Systems Level 2

Qualifications: 

  • If offered at the Associate Engineer Systems Level 1 - Requires BS Engineering degree or equivalent STEM degree.

  • If offered at the Engineer Systems Level 2 - Requires BS Engineering degree or equivalent STEM degree plus 2 years related experience, Masters with 0 years of related experience.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Active interim or secret clearance is required

  • Ability to travel is required 

  • Systems Engineering experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skill 


Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
