Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelors of Science degree plus 5 years related experience in the manufacturing Aerospace field. Masters degree plus 3 years of related experience in the manufacturing Aerospace field.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Ability to obtain active secret security clearance is required

Ability to travel 10% is required

Additional required skill sets/tasks:

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast paced environment on a program with a highly accelerated schedule.
  • Manage all critical suppliers for the NGI Booster team to ensure all program requirements are met.
  • Manage a multi-discipline team of engineers and analysts responsible for ensuring success of the NGI program.
  • Work with the Raytheon Kill Vehicle team through providing guidance to ensure contract requirements are being met.
  • Provide training to SMA (Supplier Mission Assurance) and GSC (Global Supply Chain) groups for NGI Supplier SOW/RAM development and execution.
  • Experience and understanding of MDA Assurance Provisions (MAP) Revisions B and C.
    • Able to provide clarifications and direction for implementing MAP.
  • Provide rationale for Supplier Requirements and present to the customer for agreement.
  • Work together between NG, MDA and Raytheon to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Able to negotiate contract requirements with various suppliers.
  • Able to discuss contract interpretations with customers.
  • Able to provide input and direction in a quick paced environment.
  • Lead supplier contract negotiations with MDA.
  • Work between departments to ensure mission success.
  • Ensure appropriate quality requirements are provided to critical products in order to comply with contract requirements.
  • Provide a technical outlook on problem solving throughout the design and development phase of a new program.
  • Able to interpret technical documents.
  • Manage small team of Mission Assurance Engineers.

Salary Range: $93,800 USD - $140,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
