Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 3/Classified Material Management Specialist to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Chandler, AZ location.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares documentation outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Assisting in conducting inventories and security reviews of classified materials. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Provides support of a program(s) as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements. Specific duties include, maintaining control and accountability of classified documents/media, populating SIMS with required information to ensure strict accountability/disposition of classified material, inspecting packages for tamper, receipt and dispatch of classified material via approved methods to include packing and shipping.

The selected candidate will wrap, package, receive and dispatch material as well as be able to work in a high stress, fast paced environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Assisting in controlling all DoD GSA approved secure containers. Assisting in the shipment, receipt, accountability, and destruction of classified materials. Performs a wide variety of tasks in support of industrial or program security including but not limited to:

  • Administer security processes and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, equipment, and records. 
  • Operate office machinery (fax, shredders, etc.) and/or information systems; update databases as required.   
  • Review requests and facilitate transfer, or release of program data.   

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience within shipping and receiving processes
  • Maintaining and organizing shipments of site materials     
  • Experience with automated security systems 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience and knowledge of DoDM 52022.02-M NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual) 
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision

Salary Range: $39,800 USD - $66,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
