Explore your future and launch your career today.     Northrop Grumman Launch and Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) division is seeking a Senior Director Supply Chain to lead Global Supply Chain across the division.  This position will be located in Chandler AZ and will report directly to the LMDS VP and General Manager.    This position is fully engaged with division and other functional team members to enable flawless program execution and new business growth.  The Director will be responsible to lead & manage a team of Supply Chain professionals in developing strategy and managing execution of a diverse supply chain with $900M in material and services, providing efficient and innovative strategic sourcing, procurement and subcontract solutions enabling the sector to achieve financial and non-financial commitments to our customers. Additionally, this position will be responsible for supporting compliance, supplier diversity, business operations and collaborating with Supplier Mission Assurance to provide all programs with highest quality goods and services.      Roles and Responsibilities: •Define and integrate a SCM strategy in support of the LMDS division business objectives•Develop and implement strategies for performance management of suppliers to improve overall agility and supplier performance in quality and delivery•Assess current organizational construct and be a champion for change management.•Establish and maintain a supplier base to support new products from prototype to ramped production with consistently high quality components and services.•Develop and maintain strong relationships within the LMDS executive team to ensure the supply chain organization is involved early in the business development and product development processes.  •Establish relationships with and oversee the management of Critical LMDS Suppliers, facilitating the escalation and resolution of issues•Understand and anticipate internal customer needs and manage internal customer relationships•Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies •Ensure full compliance with Government purchasing requirements/regulations and Northrop Grumman policy.•Continuously challenge the organization to improve productivity, quality and delivery while reducing inventory and lead times, by driving operational efficiency and best practices with incremental improvements annually.•Develop more strategic supplier partnerships and achieve reductions in costs of goods sold. •Work across Division, Sector, and/or the Enterprise lines to enhance supplier strategies, leveraged buying and best practice implementation.•Recruit, develop, train, mentor, and retain talent 

Basic Qualifications ·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or Accounting, with 15+ years supply chain management or related functions and 8+ years managing organizations · Well versed in FAR, DFARS, and the overall government contracting regulatory environment ·  Possess strong negotiation, critical thinking, and problem solving skills ·  Demonstrate a focus on achieving customer satisfaction and influencing internal customer to apply supply chain management best practices to program strategies and execution   Preferred Qualifications:  ·  Experience leading an organization in a related discipline (i.e., manufacturing, operations, supply chain) ·  Experience in developing processes and tools to transform the supply chain function into a world class organization ·   Deep understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and how they are used to change and manage the business
