Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.   Northrop Grumman Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an opening for a Manager, General Manufacturing 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chandler, AZ and will provide functional leadership for the Avionics test area. 

• Facilitates the achievement of production goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. 
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. 
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. 
• Maintains quality standards by establishing and enforcing organization quality objectives. 
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ technical manufacturing experience, or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years’ technical manufacturing experience
   
• 2 years leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with testing of electronic assemblies.
• Experience with environmental testing.
