Our employees are not only part of history, they are making history.     Manager Operations Business Management 1 NGIS is currently seeking an experienced Business Manager 1 to provide assist the GMD Program Operations Manager for the Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD) program. Role Description & Responsibilities: The GMD Business Manager 1 will assist the GMD Program Operations manager with all Cost Account Management aspects of the Operations team including Material forecasting, account management, Monthly Earned Value Management submittals, Quarterly EAC reviews, generation of all proposals/NTEs/ROMs, negotiations of un-definitized work and ensure the program is executing per the contract.    Job Duties:
  • Assist with all financial information on GMD to include Monthly EVMS Reporting, Quarterly EAC updates, Forecast, and Development of the Yearly Operating Plan.
  • Compile and present Operations financial status the GMD program office
  • Manage baseline efforts for new Scope of Work added to the contract.
  • Support efforts for all Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR’s) with the customer.
  • Manage the Operations financial Risk and Opportunities.
   

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Finance, Business, Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years or more of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years with Master's.
  • Experience developing project cost and schedules and managing efforts via EVMS
  • Direct internal customer interface experience
  • Verbal and written communications with management
  • Extensive experience creating and delivering presentations to customers
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and complete projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, lead and direct others in duties.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Able to obtain security clearance
  • Ability to Travel Occasionally (10%)
  Experience Preferred: 
  • Contracts experience:  FAR or equivalent training
  • Prior experience leading teams
  • Experience in responding to government Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) Utilizing Earned Value Management (EVMS)
Education/Certifications:
  • BS in Engineering, Business or Finance
