Northrop Grumman is looking for a Big Data / ETL Analyst to work in the Northern Virginia area. Exciting areas of responsibilities will include:
  • The candidate will apply technical skills and experience in working with structured and unstructured data for ingest into a variety of applications.
  • The candidate will monitor data loads and fix errors during the load process and perform quality control on ingested data.
  • Candidate will perform manual Metadata tagging and link analysis.
  • Candidate will provide daily logs and statistics, and output from utility tools, as well as track and provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and statistics/metrics, and support COOP and emergency response activities.
  • The successful candidate is able to work under only general direction, and independently determines approaches and develops innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of data loads.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of data analytics experience
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data  
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community
  • Experience working in a Customer Facility
  • Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with computer file management in Windows and UNIX/Linux environment
  • Big Data or ETL experience
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Metadata tagging and link analysis
  • Experience with script and/or parser development to extract structured and unstructured data from files
  • Growing interest in natural language processing and machine learning
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
