Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Nurse to join our team in Charlottesville, VA.

The Nurse 3 will provide nursing services, respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.  Delivers OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.   Maintains accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements; provides health promotion and disease prevention strategies; provides counseling, health education and training programs as applicable. Dispense OTC Medications. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). May work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers. Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace. Effectively promote and market wellness programs to target populations by utilizing existing resources.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 2+ years of experience in occupational health
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
  • Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications to include:

  • CPR/BLS
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
  • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
  • Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Salary Range: 67700 - 112900

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
