Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for an Engineering Technician 2 to join our Product Qualification Lab team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•             Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
•             Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
•             Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
•             Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
•             Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
•             Participate in continuous process improvement efforts in test coverage and test effectiveness
•             Follows test methods, procedures, and standards in the performance of tests
•             Performs setup of equipment and instrumentation in accordance with test procedures and specifications
•             Operates various measuring and testing devices including electronic and mechanical equipment.
•             Performs routine maintenance on laboratory equipment. There will be a 2nd shift rotation hrs: 3-11pm

Basic Qualifications: •             High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent AND 2 years technical trade school or military technical school, or equivalent experience
•             Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications: •             3-5 years of experience in electronic or systems testing in an electronics laboratory environment
•             MIL-STD-461 test knowledge
•             MIL-STD-167 test knowledge
•             MIL-STD-810 Test Knowledge
•             Ability to apply electronic and electro-mechanical theory
•             Knowledge and familiarity of electronic test equipment including spectrum analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, RF instruments, etc.
