Role

A key member of the General Accounting team, this role will work to ensure the reliability and integrity of the Company’s financial records and accounts

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of ledger trial balances to ensure their validity and accuracy.
  • Analysis of monthly automated ledger allocations and assessments.
  • Participate in monthly close activities
  • Prepare journal entries under the guidance of the General Accounting Manager
  • Preparation bank reconciliations
  • Monitor Inventory and GR/IR account and investigate discrepancies
  • Support data requests related to the quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including inventory control accounts.
  • Prepare intercompany recharges and reconcile intercompany balances
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Approval of sales invoices, bank payments
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as requested

General Operational duties

  • Attend Business Management department meetings as required
  • Remain compliant with all applicable Business Management and Command Media Processes and procedures

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications/Experience

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with SAP or equivalent financial management system
  • Experience of successful collaboration across teams

Competency/Skill requirements

  • Excellent team worker able to work collaboratively across the function
  • Organised and self-motivated
  • Able to manage complex workloads to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent numerical skills and a proficient Microsoft Excel user
  • Very good interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with all audiences/stakeholders
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Flexible and responsive attitude
  • A proactive individual who will take the initiative and raise questions when faced with uncertainty
  • Competent in PowerPoint and face-to-face presentation delivery
  • An engaging and ‘can do’ attitude

Other requirements

  • Travel requirements: Some UK travel may be required to attend team/customer meetings and training activities
  • Clearance requirements: The post-holder must hold and maintain UK Government clearances
