Job Description

Are you experienced in IT Service Management and want to join a leading team within an evolving and dynamic organisation?

Due to a number of recent successes, we are growing our Service Management team with creative and ambitious talent. The role of the Service Management team is to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of delivering IT services to our customers and business functions. The IT Service Manager role will encompass responsibility for several key practices within our Service Management frameworks.

How you will make a difference

As an IT Service Manager you will play a key role in focusing on the whole life of Service Delivery, from designing to developing to delivering and operating. You will need to be able to interact with individuals at all levels within our organisation and within that of our clients, and influence without authority. Experience of mentoring or line management would be advantageous.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the services we provide to our customers are managed professionally, dynamically and continually evolving to deliver service improvements and meet contractual service level agreements.  

Key criteria required...

  • Proven experience in a traditional ITIL Service Management role or function, demonstrating strong customer service orientation.
  • Keen to evolve ways of working to incorporate the latest ITIL best practices alongside Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. 
  • Ability to be calm and work effectively whilst under pressure.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to working as a member of a team which responds flexibly to changing pressures and demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and platforms from a service perspective
  • Be able to support business development through contributions to customer proposals
  • Have a good understanding and experience of common tools such as MS Office suite, Confluence, Jira, Sharepoint, MS Teams, Webex etc.)
  • ITIL certified to Foundation or above
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO20000 and ISO27001
