Fixed term 12 month contract

The Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst supports the Costing team as the go to for performance reporting for both direct and indirect cost and reporting on the consolidated financial results (P&L and Balance Sheet) for the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage costing master data (business units uses average pricing which needs to be maintained)
  • Deliver utilisation reporting and analysis of NSS staff working with utilisation manager to drive utilisation opportunities
  • Manage cost centre reports, reviewing actuals with cost centre owners and updating forecasts
  • Manage profit centres and cost centre structure to support complex P&L reporting
  • Update financial internal reporting and analysis documentations, processes and controls in line with group policies and industry requirements incl. keeping up to date with industry requirements
  • Understand Cost structure and drivers to support analysis and forecasting
  • Support high quality financial analysis and forecasts to support corporate decision making.
  • Support preparation of financial analysis and commentary to support “front end” narrative disclosures on business performance incl. detailed Results and Balance Sheet reviews with the Business Management Director and Sector/Divisions
  • Support and actively drive improvements through new ERP (SAP)

Person Specification

  • Experience with in Finance or Business Management
  • Wanting to pursue a career in Finance/ Business Management/ Data Analysis
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Confident in presenting, and challenging through proposing solutions
  • A proactive individual who will take initiative and raise questions when faced with uncertainty
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and comfortable to engage with colleagues and different level of seniority
  • Analytical and numerical aptitude (in language and numbers)
  • Organised and self-motivated
  • Adept at multi-tasking, working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Innovative and creative, able to think outside the box
