Salary: £49,000 - £70,000

Role Clearance Type: UK-Security Check (SC). Clearance not required to start

About Your Opportunity:

A significant role in continued enhancement of our integrated Trade Compliance function, supporting business development initiatives and internal research projects.

This critical role will drive improvement, supporting the design and implementation of tools, approval automation, communication and training essential in maintaining an agile, embedded and risk-mitigating framework.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support Trade Compliance role in Business Development projects, with responsibility for export licence applications and compliance, engagement on US authorisations, and customs considerations
  • Lead Trade Compliance input on NGUKL automation/ digital transformation projects and business change projects where required, and develop and deliver automation projects for Trade Compliance functional improvements
  • Maintain the Trade Compliance training programme; develop and deliver presentations, including Trade Compliance awareness training and programme/function specific export training
  • Lead Trade Compliance engagement on Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects
  • Actively lead engagement with internal Technical Advisors, to include export classification determination oversight, regular meetings, regulatory updates, resources pages and annual training

Your Experience:

  • Significant experience working in an export/trade compliance role
  • Strong communication, influencing and training skills
  • Experience in interpreting and providing guidance on UK/ EU and US export regulations for goods, technology and software
  • Proficient in ERP systems and automation project
  • Experience in the Defence/Aerospace industry
