The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Operations Organization is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 to join their team in Cincinnati, OH.

What You'll Get to Do:

The Cincinnati Manufacturing Operations Manager position reports to the Networked Information Solutions Division Director of Operations, and is directly responsible for all Manufacturing (MFG) organizational performance at our Cincinnati campus.  The Manager has organizational responsibility for over 30 employees and this position will be the primary interface to the Xetron Operating Unit locally, and coordinate closely with other program operating units to meet operational cost, schedule, and performance requirements across operations.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership across the manufacturing team which includes oversight over manufacturing engineering, assembly, test, planning, stores, receiving, and shipping.  The ability  to direct and lead the organization in support of the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan, will be critical as well as providing leadership and guidance in areas such as: technical guidance, process development, continuous improvement, safety, producibility, testability, capacity and production planning, MTA/Capital/Facility planning, cost/benefit analysis, Manpower planning and staffing, Talent Plus execution, workforce engagement, and merit planning.  The ability to collaborate and liaise with the various business area leaders towards all business requirements and milestones in Cincinnati, OH is a key function of this role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience; Master's Degree with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience.

  • Management and/or leadership experience.

  • Lean six sigma and continuous improvement experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or repair environment.

  • Demonstrated basic understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems.

  • Fluent in MS Office Software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Leadership, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Global Supply Chain Management.

  • Former military experience.

  • Current Secret or Top Secret, SCI Clearance.

  • SAP experience.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively present to upper management.

  • Working knowledge of financial management including project & process control, earned value, and budgets, to include familiarity with DCAA and FAR regulations.


Salary Range: $128,400 USD - $192,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
