Northrop Grumman Aerospace Structures has an opening for a Financial Analyst/Principal Financial Analyst (Level 2/Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite on the Commercial Finance team in Clearfield, UT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high quality financial analysis and forecasts to support corporate decision making.

  • Prepare, analyze and report monthly revenue for assigned contracts.

  • Monthly revenue recognition of customer contracts- supporting both the Business Manager and Segment Leader.

  • Interface with Planners, Contracts and Program Managers to ensure up to date forecasts and to maintain accuracy.

  • Develops and tracks forecast to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) including variance analysis.

  • Understand cost structure and drivers to support analysis and forecasting.

  • Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and GAAP cost control guidelines.

  • Business case modeling including long term profit and cash flows to support financing decisions.

  • Develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); Present and communicate results and changes.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2

  • Master's degree with 1 years experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience of finance, accounting and/or industry related experience.

  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet critical milestones.

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3

  • Master's degree with 4 years' experience or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience of finance, accounting and/or industry related experience.

  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet critical milestones.

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related.

  • Experience in a Production Manufacturing Environment.

  • Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.

  • Cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Experience with CostPoint ERP, Cognos reporting, ProPricer, and PowerBI.

  • Advanced Excel Techniques (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros)


Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
