Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.

Our teams ensure mission success for the F35 war fighter and multiple other projects which support the security of our nation.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring products to production from first article creation to compliance validation
  • Work with customers and suppliers through all MRB activities
  • Lead failure investigations in a team environment to determine root cause and implement robust corrective actions
  • Work with customers to understand and implement requirements on a variety of different parts and processes
  • Inspect parts, understand requirements, conduct first articles, validate compliance and perform other mission assurance tasks.

This role may be filled at a Engineer or Principal Engineer level depending on the qualifications below. 

Basic Qualifications:

Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field and a minimum of 2+ years of engineering experience or Master's Degree in STEM Field
  • The ability to obtain an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Principal Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field and a minimum of 5+ years of engineering experience or Master's Degree in STEM Field 3+ years engineering experience
  • Prior quality or process engineering experience
  • The ability to obtain an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in composite materials, procedures, failure modes, environmental effects.
  • Composite fabrication experience and planning
  • Experience supporting composite primary and secondary structures, metallic, vendor supplied material certifications, approved materials list, and support forensic activities as required

Salary Range: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
