Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Maintenance Janitor 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.

Performs a range of activities to prepare nonstandard items for shipment including routine crating and packing to the preparation of non-standard crates and boxes. Determines packaging requirements from specifications, blueprints, oral instructions, or knowledge of materials to be shipped and shipping conditions. May build special crating fixtures and braces for shipping unusual or large items when standard boxes and crates cannot be used. May prepare materials such as parts, assemblies, and tooling for special shipment. Packages materials by blocking, tying down, padding, securing, bracing, or other means to avoid damage. Uses standard hand and power woodworking tools and banding equipment. May coordinate loading or unloading of unusual items requiring special handling techniques.

Job Duties :

  • Maintains premises, rest and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition.
  • Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, or equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, or buffing floors; removing refuse; polishing furniture, fixtures, or trimmings; providing janitorial supplies; and cleaning lavatories, showers, or rest rooms.
  • Cleaning Epoxy, linoleum, tile and other floor surfaces
  • Shampooing rugs and carpets
  • Emptying trash cans
  • Changing air filters and cleaning vents
  • Dusting disinfecting all surfaces
  • Waxing floors
  • Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed
  • Washing windows
  • Maintaining a thorough inventory
  • Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
  • Collecting and taking out trash and recycling

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Working knowledge of general aspects of the job
  • Ability to perform routine work with detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments

Salary Range: $31,200 USD - $43,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
