Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is hiring! Join our team as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic  - 2 based out of Clearfield, UT.

What You’ll get to Do: As an Aircraft Structures Mechanic you will have the opportunity to train and develop the skills needed to produce incredible products. Tasks vary and may be in a team environment or individual based.

  • Perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

  • Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.

  • Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

  • Work on the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing.

This position will support one of our day, weekday nights, or weekend day shift.

If selected, final clearance must be obtained prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2-years of manufacturing/production experience (or similar)

  • Although not required to Apply; requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.

  • This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working overhead

  • Ability to work flexible/changing shifts including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance

  • Composite experience and/or certification

  • Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience

  • Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures

Salary Range: $19 USD - $32 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
