Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Material Handler 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT and support our A shift.

Essential Functions:

Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. Provides technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations. These employees are primarily responsible for the manual movement, shipping and receiving of materials.

Job Duties:

  • Primary duties will be in issuing, receiving, shipping, and stores
  • Perform safe handling and processing of hazardous material(s)
  • Class A CDL equipment operator (if CDL license is held) Preferred but not required
  • TA day cab tractor, flat bed, reefer, dry box vans Preferred but not required
  • Receive materials on plant
  • Place material in kits, identifies kits, and transports kits to storage or point of use
  • Capable of working in a harsh environment. Tasks include working inside a -10 Degree F Max freezer
  • Perform inventory and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Package and ship end item parts
  • Issue material to work orders/Kanban
  • Transfer, impound, and label materials
  • Operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jacks (manual and powered), small trucks
  • Must comply with company policies and procedures and be willing to work in a defined TEAM environment
  • Continuous standing and walking for extended periods and perform physical work on a regular basis
  • Overtime and on-call duty may be required
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain special program access
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a production atmosphere.
  • Ability to obtain certification in forklift, electrical pallet jack, and reach-lift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CostPoint and MES special program access within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to support Mon-Fri A shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ERP system transactions
  • Experience with material handling and aerospace part protection methods
  • Experience working with transportation management systems
  • Experience working with shipments

Salary Range: $16 USD - $27 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
