The Advanced Mission Solutions Operating Unit in Colorado Springs is looking to hire a Senior Principal Investigator for the OUTMATCH IRAD. OUTMATCH develops Mission Level Modeling and Simulation tools to perform studies and analysis of large scenarios in the most pressing domains for our customer. OUTMATCH focuses on the Missile Defense and Hypersonic domains, but also expands into other domain spaces, including multi-domain system analysis, as needed. OUTMATCH supports many of the priority-win and critical studies, RFI responses and RFPs for major captures within Northrop Grumman, including developing high quality graphics, demonstrations, and videos that have high visibility in the Government. The successful candidate will have the following duties:

  • Manage multiple projects, studies, analyses that utilize the OUTMATCH codebase
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and customers and prioritize work performed by the OUTMATCH team
  • Support high visibility briefings and strategic planning sessions
  • Grow the budget for OUTMATCH by obtaining new funding sources from inside Northrop Grumman and sales with a Government customer
  • Lead the OUTMATCH team of 30+ engineers, managers, and graphic artists
  • Plan the technical roadmap based on customer input and BD needs

Position can be filled at a

Basic Qualifications

  • 9 Years experience with a STEM Bachelors
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, the Missile Defense Domain
  • Experience leading medium sized technical teams
  • A Final SECRET Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with strategy planning and growth
  • Experience with RFI and RFP responses
  • Experience with Radar, and Radar MS&A
  • Experience with the Space Domain
  • Experience with Hypersonics
  • Experience with AI/ML
  • Experience with modern analytics
  • Experience with Command and Control

Salary Range: 127800 - 191600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
