This position will serve on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program, focused on the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) requirements.

General tasks:

  • Report directly to the Program Modeling and Requirement Lead on requirements management plans and process implementations across the program.
  • Manage the SMORS sensors’ system requirements using the Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) requirements management tool
  • Support SMORS sensors’ System Architecture Design, Development, and Delivery
  • Evaluate system functional and performance characteristics and requirements to define product and services needs
  • Provide technical guidance to a team performing day-to-day delivery order requirements analysis and derivation tasks; such as and not limited to hardware, software, cybersecurity, test and sustainability functions.
  • Support system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and technical baseline documentation
  • Generate, review, and update technical baseline artifacts and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
  • Review technical baseline documentation to ensure the design meets system requirements are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
  • Collaborate with system modelers who use MBSE tools and techniques to define system interfaces, requirements and behaviors
  • Provide training and mentoring on requirements management processes and procedures
  • Support the development of system test and/or integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of integration and testing activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of systems engineering experience; or 3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree; or 0 years with PhD.
  • Interim DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience in system requirements analysis and derivation
  • Experience in using a requirements management tool, such as DOORS to update and write system level requirements
  • Familiarity with Ground Based Radars
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Comprehensive background in system requirements analysis and derivation
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using DOORS
  • Experience with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
  • Technical writing skills for generating analysis and reports

Salary Range: 92200 - 138400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
