Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

What you’ll get to do:

As a Software Engineer working within one of our ground radar programs you will join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of our National Defense. You will be responsible for the design and development of software critical to the operation of advanced ground radars and the analysis of return signals critical to our national defense. Using Agile principles you will be a member of a large team of highly capable software engineers to design and implement an open, modular, maintainable baseline based upon COTS, GOTS, and custom software.  Successful candidates should have experience in all phases of software development efforts working within agile teams In addition, candidates must possess strong problem solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with experienced engineering teams to meet our customer’s needs.

Minimal travel is expected. This position will be based in our Colorado Springs airport facility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other STEM discipline  with 2 years of related experience or 0 years related experience with a Master's degree
  • Experience with C++ or Java
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with Agile processes
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with  modular Open System/Software Architectures
  • Experience with the development of SOA based software services and micro services
  • Experience with RF systems, Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), calibration, radar waveforms, Electronic Attack (EA), or Electronic Protection (EP)
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Experience with radar waveforms, digital beamforming, adaptive processing or algorithm development

Salary Range: 74900 - 112300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
