Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Capture Manager of missile defense systems to develop and mature business opportunities (or lead and win new business pursuits) and help keep critical re-compete programs. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO or Boulder, CO and will require up to 50% of travel. Leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understanding of missile defense marketplace and stakeholder customer organizations and budgets to develop market trends and strategies.
  • Capture activities of missile defense programs including customer account management and growth, pipeline management and growth, and customer engagement.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.
  • Development and management of capture project funds, schedule, and execution. Simultaneously leading multiple opportunity pursuits and be capable of transitioning an opportunity from assessment through pursuit

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years' experience with customer management, capture, and/or business development.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a management/leadership role.
  • Knowledge and experience with missile defense and/or aerospace systems.
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Current/active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
  • MBA or MS degree.
  • Proven experience with missile defense capture and/or business development.
  • Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams.

    Salary Range: $130,500 USD - $195,700 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
