Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Electronics Engineering Manager 1 for the Sentinel (GBSD) Command and Launch division. This leadership role will be located in Colorado Springs, CO or Roy, UT.

This position will require the manager to serve as both a technical leader and a Functional Manager of a team of engineers.  The manager will join a hardware development team and must have experience with tailoring Hardware Engineering processes to a Kanban environment.  The manager needs to develop a deep understanding of the team’s vision and serve as a mentor to the team to execute that vision.  The manager will assist the team by overseeing the features and stories to lead the team in an agile environment.  As a Functional Manager, this position will require a wide range of people leadership and mentoring activities.  The manager will foster a culture that allows employees to learn and grow.  The manager will execute the performance management cycle for their direct reports. The candidate should have relevant leadership experience that prepared them for these activities.

The successful candidate will:
•Lead the Sentinel LGC Hardware Integration team.  This position will be dual hatted as both technical oversight on NG process and procedures, as well as a functional manager.
•Execute CAM responsibilities for the hardware development function within the element. Responsible for coordinating schedules and cost visibility to the Program Office and maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
•Provide integration and documentation expertise for a wide variety of electronic hardware.
•Coordinate integration and interface development efforts with internal and external test facilities.
•Work with Systems Engineering and customer stakeholders to communicate system capabilities and support CONOPS development.
•Lead teams in a fluid environment that requires teamwork with other Command and Launch elements and our Customer. 
•Promote professional development of the IPT workforce; foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree and 5 years of relevant product experience

•At least one year experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
•Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance (awarded or reinvestigated within the past 5 years) and ability to obtain SAP program access (background investigation required)
•Experience in multiple aspects of the hardware engineering development lifecycle and managing requirements on a schedule
•Experience with test orchestration, procedure creation, and verification, to include ATP’s for COTS component
•Experience in leading projects and/or cross-functional engineering teams
•Cost Account Management and IMS schedule experience
•Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

•Design, Integration, Installation and/or fielding experience with integrated rack systems, consoles, and facilities.

•Effective communication and presentation skills
•Experience with Hardware design and simulation tools, such as Mentor capital, Teamcenter, Abaqus, and Flowtherm.
•Experience with performance validation or System V&V
•Agile EVMS experience
•Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
•Experience with BM, P6, CPLM, MBSE, Jira, and Mechanical Engineering tools suites
•Experience with Northrop Grumman Cost Account Management Process
•Proven experience working with customers to foster confident relationships
•Knowledge of Subcontracting process and procedures
•Experience with tools/innovations across multiple programs to include:

 •Experience using Siemens NX and/or Teamcenter
 •Experience with or knowledge of analytical and/or finite element modeling (FEM) tools

•Ability to evaluate engineering decisions based on system level impacts
•Experience with electrical design and/or electronics manufacturing process and qualification activities
•Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
•Experience using DOORS, Cameo EA, Microsoft Office, and MATLAB
•Experience in thermal simulation and analysis
•Experience with electro-mechanical design and deployment

Salary Range: $93,800 USD - $148,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
