Northrop Grumman’s Space Components Business Unit (SCBU) is an industry-leading provider of Spacecraft Products for national security, military, civil, and commercial missions. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. Currently, we have an opening for a motivated Program Control Analyst.  This position will be located in Commerce, California. The candidate is responsible for various functions including budgeting, program controls and forecasting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately forecast financial metrics (Sales, EBIT and Cash), develop program baselines and Estimates-to-Complete
  • Prepare program financial reports for internal and external customers on program incurred cost, material, and labor spend
  • Develop, monitor, and report on program budgets at the work order and GLC level
  • Assist program teams with project, WBS setup and inventory abbreviations in CostPoint
  • Perform quarterly Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) with Program Managers and Functional Managers
  • Pull data from financial systems to support audit requests, monthly financial reports, fact-finding
  • Support adhoc requests as needed by PM's, operations, or management

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Analytical and communication skills to develop and communicate recommendations to program and senior management teams
  • Ability to achieve results through prioritization, identification and implementation of improvements, and collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to analyze significant amounts of data using MS Office products: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and 2 years of financial analyst experience within an aerospace/government contracting environment.
  • US Citizen

Experience Preferred

  • Experience with multiple contract types (Cost Plus Fixed Fees/Cost Plus Incentive Fees, Cost Plus Award Fees, Firm Fixed Price/Firm Price Incentive Fee) desired
  • Exposure and experience with Earned Value Management is a plus
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Systems: Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos and IBM Tables Manager 1 (TM1)       


Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
