Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Multimedia / Principal Multimedia User Experience (UX) Designer in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. This position is located in Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a UX Designer on the Support and Training Segment. You will fulfill a role supporting the Training Services Lead for program design, development, and delivery of training curriculum, courseware, equipment, and simulators.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Drive 3D generalist pipeline – modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering, animation for 3D asset, environment, and character creation for game-based virtual training simulations and multimedia
Implement user experience (UX) designs from instructional training lessons to depict scenarios and interactive events for qualification and certification training
Design, create, and implement technical solutions across creative outlets e.g. interactive, immersive, multi-touch, and mobile technologies
Create and revise scenario sequences related to simulation training lessons within design specifications.
Support general multi-media development needs of the organization that include both 2D and 3D output as well as web and interactive media

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may include a competitive relocation package.
Job Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Multimedia Designer: BA/BS in Digital Media, Game Art & Design, SW Development, Computer Science or related field with 2 years of experience, or 0 years with a Master’s
Principal Multimedia Designer: BA/BS in Digital Media, Game Art & Design, SW Development, Computer Science or related field with 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a Master’s, or 0 years with a PhD
Experience in Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Animation, lighting, and rendering… in Maya, or other qualified 3D software package
High level of skill with 2D design and layout including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other standard graphics applications
Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and work priorities in a timely manner
Ability to quickly apply a wide array of skills and experiences to solve creative and technical problems in a timely manner
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret level clearance
Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP) as a condition of continued employment.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Unity game engine experience is highly desired; Unreal game engine experience would be helpful
Experience with Substance Designer and ZBrush is a major plus.
Web and multimedia development experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Adobe Animate and/or Captivate is a major plus
Experience with virtual and augmented reality development such as HTC Vive, Oculus, Microsoft Hololens is a major plus
Post-production, including non-linear, professional editing with Adobe Premier and After Effects, motion graphics creation, color correction, audio mixing, and video editing
Web and software development including but not limited to JavaScript, Angular, React, Java, C#, PHP, SQL
Experience implementing software and web sites that are compliant with Section 508 Accessibility requirements
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance
