Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a well-qualified Cyber Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Promontory, Utah area in support of the Propulsion Systems business unit. This role supports many different customers and programs. Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
  • Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with team members, suppliers, customers, and vendors.
  • Work closely with InfoSec and Cyber security teams to ensure policies/procedures and best practices are followed.
  • Provide limited support for multiple networks; ensure necessary administration tasks are completed.
  • Work with PC Technicians to provide potential solutions based on standard hardware and software.
  • Work closely with System Engineering and Information Security Engineering to develop recommended system improvements, upgrades, and solutions.
  • Assist in creating and supporting mobile, cyber security controller machines.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability of systems, including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and oral format.
  • Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
  • Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.
  • Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
  • Provide regular status to management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and 4 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
  • Experience with security tools (A/V, IDS, Firewalls).
  • Experience with virtualizing applications.
  • Windows Server design, architecture, and management experience.
  • Windows Active Directory, Forest Design, and Child Domain design experience. 
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC frameworks.
  • Microsoft PowerShell, batch file scripting experience.
  • Experience with PXE boot process and network imaging process.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
  • Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
  • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and using various virtual hosting environments including VMWare, Nutanix, KVM, and HyperV.
  • Experience with cloud hosting environments including AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with the Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk).

Salary Range: 64200 - 96200

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
