Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an Engineering Technician 3, to provide calibration support at the Promontory, Utah site.

Role Description:

Successful candidate will be required to help maintain process calibrators and standards related to a metrology laboratory. Must be able to understand networking concepts on a variety of operating systems. Candidate needs to possess great troubleshooting skills and be able to maintain electronic systems including coordination with customers and suppliers. Candidate will be required to review drawings, specifications and schematics in support of various manufacturing activities and development projects. Must be able to read and understand electrical systems and components as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment. Candidate may be required to fabricate and checkout electronic and force system calibrators as well as mechanical devices. Great interpersonal skills with other technicians and engineers are required on a daily basis. Candidate must be willing to work overtime on occasion to meet customer and manufacturing requirements. Candidate may be required to do calibrations on Electronics, Temperature, Pressure and Force items in the lab. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong attitude towards safety and self-development.

Experience Requirements:

• Must be disciplined to follow detailed instructions and comply with procedures.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills to create clear and understandable documentation

• Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications

Experience Preferred:

• Computer networking experience

• Experience in set-up, fabrication, and troubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment

• Knowledge of measurement science, calibration and NIST requirements

Education/Certifications:

• Associate degree in Electronics plus 4 years minimum related experience.


Salary Range: 50300 - 83900

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
