Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking Principal or Sr. Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Program Scheduling and Compliance Center of Excellence. This position is located in either Magna or Corinne, UT.


The selected candidate is responsible for the implementation of standard processes and tools, and program planning and control practices. This position will work within a team environment consisting of program management, technical, production, financial and other supporting staff.


In this role, the selected candidate's responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Able to learn to understand job requirements and pertinent policies & procedures related to scheduling with the help of a senior scheduler. Previous exposure to program scheduling helpful.
  • Able to learn the basic principles, theories and concepts of scheduling and demonstrates the ability to perform basic professional tasks with the help of a senior scheduler.
  • With senior scheduler oversight, can input data & status schedule, update & maintain Primavera P6 files, updates and maintains Tier one schedule.
  • With senior scheduler oversight, can prepare and deliver the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) deliverables in accordance with the contract.
  • With senior scheduler oversight, can prepare data that provides the visibility needed for internal/external reviews, meetings, and audits.
  • With senior scheduler oversight monitors Program IMS to ensure the program’s Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) supports the Programs execution Plan & ensures cost/schedule integration.
  • Provide interface/support to program office and team leads to identify internal and external dependencies, milestones, and deliverables with assistance from a senior scheduler.
  • Attend training & workshops to broaden business experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related professional experience  - OR - 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with a scheduling software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Current, active Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $58,300 USD - $87,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
