Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, detail orientated Financial Cost Schedule Control Analyst 1 or 2 to join a fast-paced development program. This position is located on site in Promontory, UT with an option for a flexible work arrangement.

Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain cost control system (COBRA), monitor and control costs and schedules (Primavera) in the Earned Value Management System for contracts requiring validated cost schedule.
  • Supports, develops and prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and internal discretionary funds, to include both labor and material dollar accounts, with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to support cost profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Performs “what-if” analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are collected and scheduled.
  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
  • Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Supports monthly financial inputs to include presenting updates to leadership and internal financials teams.
  • Supports yearly financial Long Range Strategic Planning LRSP and Annual Operating Plan.

Basic Qualifications for a level 1:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically high level Excel skills (including: developing excel tools for analysis, ability to insert pivot tables and slicers, VLookup, conditional formatting, etc.)

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Planning, and Program Cost/ Financial Analysis, or a Master's degree with 1 year of stated experience - OR - 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically high level Excel skills (including: developing excel tools for analysis, ability to insert pivot tables and slicers, VLookup, conditional formatting, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with CostPoint and COBRA and Primavera
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple organizations and Senior Leadership
  • Ability to effectively handle challenging priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle several tasks in a fast paced environment

Salary Range: $48,600 USD - $73,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
