Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems PMO is seeking a computer scientist or similar programming professional to support advanced enterprise application integration and custom application development. The position will deploy, support, customize, and maintain the suite of Commercial and Custom applications. The position is based out of Promontory, UT, location but other locations and telecommuting/remote work options are available.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, maintain and test advanced software integration solutions and functionality

• Design, develop, maintain and test custom software solutions and functionality
• Develop robust solutions in an agile environment
• Collaborate with multiple teams in a wide background of disciplines
• Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and custom software
• Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products
• Test, fix, and refine the computer software to produce the required products
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency
• Support preparation of required documentation, including user-level documentation

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 14 or more years of experience OR a Master's Degree of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 12 or more years of experience

• Candidates with degrees in other disciplines will be considered with the appropriate background and skills

• Experience with Java development

• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition development

• Experience with advanced application integration solutions

• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

• Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services

• Experience with XML, XSD XSLT, JSON

• Experience with Relational databases (SQL, Oracle, SQLServer)

• Familiarity with version control software (Git/CVS/TFS/SVN)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Familiarity with Atlassian applications (Jira/ Confluence)
 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of Design Patterns

Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

• J2EE application Server administration (WebSphere, Tomcat, WebLogic)

• HTTP Server administration and protocol knowledge (Apache, IIS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.)

• Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms (Rational Application Developer, eclipse, IBM Integration developer, etc.)

• Experience with .NET, C# Visual Studio development

• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results

• Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

• Able to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently
• Proficient at gathering and interpreting relevant customer requirements

• Able to work well remotely, in a team environment and possess strong oral/written communication skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

• IBM BPM Process Server Advanced, IBM Business Automation Workflow

• IBM BPM Integration Developer

Knowledge of Service Component Architecture (SCA)

• IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment

• eQube-MI integration environment.

• Mule, Apache Camel, etc,

• Networking

• Knowledge of ERP, MES and PLM systems

• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint (WIC, extensibility) and Siemens TeamCenter Unified

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and use of computers in the manufacturing area

• Software analysis and business process analysis experience


Salary Range: $141,800 USD - $212,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
