Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Manager 3, Capture. The position will be located in Dulles, VA.

The successful candidate will work closely with all of Northrop Grumman’s functional organizations leadership team and other industry and government partners. In this role the ideal candidate will lead capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Capture Leadership

  • Opportunity identification and shaping
  • Opportunity qualification
  • Business case analysis
  • Customer relationship management
  • Customer acquisition approach analysis and shaping
  • Professional relationship development and maintenance with key decision makers
  • Government Relations collaboration on customer engagement strategies and execution
  • Future customer requirements analysis and planning
  • Capture strategy development and execution
  • Customer and competitor assessments
  • Price-to-Win analysis
  • Teammate/supplier selection and relationship management
  • Threat identification and mitigation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years' experience with program management, customer management, capture, and/or business development
  • 4 years in a management role
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • This position will require up to 10% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in program planning, budget development and execution, workforce planning, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls
  • Current user and acquisition customer relationships
  • Current/active TS/SCI security clearance


Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
