Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Business Management Manager 2 to provide full spectrum Business Management leadership for emerging programs within the Human Exploration and Operations Operating Unit. This position is located in Dulles VA.   

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency of developing and motivating staff in a team environment with excellent interpersonal, planning, presentation and organizational skills.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading all aspects of business management and financial execution objectives to encompass cost and schedule management, pricing and cost estimating, contracts, and property administration.
  • Providing accurate, timely, and supported inputs to business systems supporting financial forecasting and profitability determination.
  • Leading program and task order level proposal activities to include cost estimating, pricing and cash flow analysis.
  • Providing support to Subcontract Management Teams managing the supply base and effectively engaging those teams in driving financial forecasting accuracy.
  • Overseeing and ensuring quality of financial data delivered to internal and external customers, including variance analysis and forecasts.
  • Identifying issues and making recommendations to management for resolution or mitigation.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 5+ years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, pricing/cost estimating, program control, or other related business management function – OR – a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 4+ years of industry related experience as outlined above.  Additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Experience leading teams to successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with added emphasis on advanced Excel data analysis competency.
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR/DFARS.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or a Master’s Degree in a Business related field.
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
  • Prior experience supporting large complex proposal activities.
  • Experience with financial forecasting systems including any of the following: TM-1, Hyperion, or COGNOS.

Salary Range: $97,000 USD - $145,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
