Candidate will support an important National Security Space mission through the design, implementation, and testing of flight software

Duties:

  • Designs, develops, operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements.
  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft flight control and display systems, pacemakers, defibrillators, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

This position can be filled as an Engineer (level 2) or Principal Engineer (level 3) depending on experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related STEM field
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience (level 2) or minimum of 5 years related experience (level 3)
  • Active or current Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windriver Workbench, vxWorks RTOS, SVN/Trac, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553, and Spacewire all desirable.

Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $111,600 USD - $167,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
