Explore your future and launch your career today.   Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Tactical Space Division in Dulles, VA is seeking a qualified and experienced Consulting Systems Engineer – Electrical Systems Architecture and Integration (level T06) with strong experience and deep technical knowledge in Electrical Systems Architecture Development, Electrical Design, Verification and System Integration. The candidate will provide technical and programmatic leadership for complex electrical systems for high-reliability Space Vehicles on National Security Missions. Familiarity with National Security payloads and interfaces is strongly preferred.   The candidate must have experience in architecture development, systems analysis. systems trade studies, circuit design, and interface management, from concept and requirements through design-development, build, test, qualification, system integration, and on-orbit support. The candidate must have exceptional problem solving abilities, troubleshooting expertise, and be able to drive challenging technical issues to resolution (root cause, corrective action). This position requires ability to define/review electrical interfaces, manage technical budgets, and ensure that requirements are met for cost, schedule, and technical performance. The candidate should be experienced with digital, analog, power and RF circuits. The position will also require leadership of technical teams, coordination with multi-discipline functional organizations, and provide a strong technical interface to the customer (including presenting complex technical information to high-level customer representatives). Proven ability to lead technical teams and oversee complex issues, including troubleshooting, is a must. Broad systems development experience and understanding of DoD and Intelligence systems and their missions is also desired. In addition, responsibilities may include Cost Account Management and EVMS oversight for an electrical system on a major development program.   NoVASpace

 Basic Qualifications:  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering & 20 years of experience OR a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering & 18 years of design experience. • 5 years of technical leadership experience • Experience across the full system development life-cycle. Understanding and experience in Systems Engineering principles and practices.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and oversee complex issues, including troubleshooting.
• Experience in Electrical Systems Architecture Design, Modeling, Analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, integration, on-orbit support.
• Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current Top Secret level clearance with current SSBI, and SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:  • Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Broad systems development experience and understanding of National Security Space Payloads and Missions. • Experience in the Space Domain / Space Vehicles, subsystems and components.
• Experience across digital, analog, power and RF design.
