This position will be located in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ.   In this role you will design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry and electrical and RF ground support equipment.  You should have system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills.  Experience with testing RF systems or design of RF systems is for satellite communications is highly desired for this position but not required.    Daily responsibilities will require test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. You must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of Electrical and RF engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test.  Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, and to use critical thinking in troubleshoot of problems. The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable.     International and or domestic travel to support launch campaigns may be required. This position can be filled with either a Test Engineer or a Principal Test Engineer level.    Basic Qualifications:  Test Engineer 
  • Bachelor Degree in a STEM discipline (preferably Aerospace or Electrical Engineering) with 2 years of experience (OR Master’s Degree OR PhD) 
  • Possess system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret clearance
  Principal Test Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Aerospace or Electrical Engineering) and 5 yrs of experience; OR 3 yrs w/ a Masters; OR PhD
  • Possess system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret clearance
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with testing RF systems or design of RF systems is for satellite communications
  • Ability to use a scripting language and formulate manual or automated scripts 
  • Strong background in RF systems preferred but not required
