Explore your future and launch your career today.  Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Associate Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Tactical Space Division’s Global Supply Chain team. This role is a great opportunity for those who want to grow their career in Supply Chain. 
This position is located in Dulles, VA.
Job Duties:
  • Understand and work across the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)
  • Define and develops material strategy. Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Communicate with buyers and technical personnel: determine solutions and communicate the best course of action on issues that may impact purchase order executions
  • Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
  • Participate in make/buy process, long term capacity and resource planning; familiarity with product space level screening and testing requirements.
  • Oversee Electronic Program Procurement Authorizations: ensure accuracy and approvals are obtained to allow for purchase orders to be placed in a timely manner.


Basic Qualifications: 
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in business management, supply chain, finance or closely related field
  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system
  • MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Previous experience (internship or otherwise) in supply chain, planning, material control, or inventory management
  • Aerospace experience
