PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: With minimum supervision, performs technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include all manner of Radio Frequency, analog, digital and/or video type circuits. Must demonstrate appropriate familiarization with RF transmission components including waveguide, Coaxial cable, traveling wave tube amplifiers, liquid and dielectric loads, RF Receivers and transmitters. Guidance is available from superiors. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform required testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and complex developmental engineering tasks. Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment, to ensure conformance with design specifications. Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level. Conducts defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned. Acts as a mentor to junior member of the team and must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of a High School diploma and 6 years of related experience or additional education
• Applicant must be able to read and understand avionics or vehicle or chassis wiring schematics.
• Experienced soldering skill are required for this position as well as familiarization with aircraft type wire cutting and mechanical splicing.
• Applicant must be able to pass in-house solder and cable crimp and harness classes.
• Exceptional hand tool knowledge as well as familiarization and confidence with power tools is required.
• Applicant must be flexible in types of work assignments. Applicant must be able to react to changing priorities as directed.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiar with MS Office software,
• NASA/Military specification Solder training course completion.
• CreoView or other 3D modeling experience is also preferred.
• Experience with break out boxes, Oscilloscopes, Dual Volt Meters and other types of electronic test equipment is preferred
