Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. NGIS is looking for an Engineering Aide to assist with data management within the Analysis & Thermal group in Dulles, VA


Responsibilities will include:
  • Document creation and management
  • Database creation and maintenance
  • Compilation of comprehensive parts lists using information from Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, online databases, and data from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Spreadsheet organization and extraction
  • Obsolescence monitoring and report generation
  • Candidate must be comfortable with meeting deadlines, working on multiple projects concurrently, and working with various engineering disciplines and customers as required to build data products.
  • The candidate may be occasionally requested to assist with work in a laboratory environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • AA degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 years experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of software, including SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineering Associates Degree.
  • Database software
  • Proficiency in understanding and extracting information from specifications (NAS, SAE, MS, etc.)
  • Basic Understanding of principles of design.
  • Matlab basic knowledge
  • General knowledge of mechanical assemblies and piece part.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
